Electric vehicles are becoming a more popular way to travel, changing the way visitors plan and experience road trips. From coastal highways to regional towns and remote wilderness escapes, EV travellers think about where they can charge, how long charging may take, and what support is available when they arrive.

For tourism businesses, this means EV information is becoming part of the visitor experience. This short training module will help you understand the basic needs of EV travellers and provide clear, practical and safe information.

You do not need to be an EV expert. The goal is to help you feel prepared to support EV travellers by knowing where to find your business's EV information and helping visitors feel informed, supported and confident during their visit.

Completing this training not only improves customer service, but is also a requirement for key customer-facing staff as part of achieving EV Ready Tourism Business status.

How to complete this e-learning course

Each module contains three short learning activities:

  1. Watch the introductory video (approximately 30 seconds).
  2. Work through the Learning Guide at your own pace. This interactive presentation contains the detailed course content and practical information.
  3. Complete the knowledge check. Answer the quiz questions correctly before progressing to the next module.
